Itinerants Botany
An Itinerants Botany : I have always been fascinated with flowering plants and trees, going back to my childhood experiences in my mother and grandmother’s gardens. As I travel, I look for striking plant forms as points of departure for works on paper that echo the beauty, grace, ferocity and mystery that inspires me.
Equine NM
Equine Series : Horses in a landscape…I’m not really sure why. My mother told me the first word I said as a child was Horse; mysterious because we lived in a suburb in South Carolina. Maybe an Avatar…some sort of self portrait in a freshly experienced landscape? They compel me to draw and paint them.

Monotyping is a type of printmaking made by drawing or painting on a smooth, non-absorbent surface. The image is then transferred onto a sheet of paper by pressing the two together, usually using a printing-press. Monotyping produces a unique print, or monotype; most of the ink is removed during the initial pressing.
